Stephen Grove, Brenton Grove, and Ben Barker sensationally brought home victory in Pro-Am on Grove Racing’s GT3 endurance racing debut on home soil at the Bathurst 12 Hour.
Barker took the chequered flag first in class aboard the #4 Porsche 911 GT3 R which was good enough for a remarkable result of 10th outright after a flawless run in a brutal, hot race.
Having claimed four Class B victories, the team’s step up into GT3 competition this year and ultimate Pro-Am win sees them chalk up a fifth success at the Bathurst 12 Hour across two classes.
The result makes Grove Racing the most successful Porsche team ever at Bathurst and one of the most winningest teams in the event’s history.

“It’s fantastic to stand on the GT3 podium after four years on the Class B podium and now make it five Bathurst 12 Hour victories for the team. First year to step up to Class A with the same boys we won with last year, everyone did a top job once again and huge thanks to the Herberth Motorsport boys as well, I’m so happy they came and joined us. It’s a great day and I’m really, really proud of the entire team.”
Brenton Grove
“Unbelievable to win. It was such a hard race, it was so hot and it eventually got to a point where the cooling system wasn’t blowing cold air anymore because the ambient and cabin temperatures were so high. The pace was so quick and we didn’t make any mistakes all day; the boys did a flawless job in the car and in the garage as well and the strategy was probably the determining factor. Stoked with the result and I can’t thank the team enough.”
Ben Barker
“I felt really comfortable. It was a really enjoyable race to drive and thanks to the Grove Racing guys for inviting me back. It’s such an honour and a pleasure to drive with them and to get another win, now in the GT3 class is absolutely incredible. I’m over the moon.”
