Kelly Grove Racing
(14th January 2021) – Grove Motorsport will partner with Kelly Racing to form Kelly Grove Racing in the 2021 Supercars Championship.
The Grove Group will become an equal shareholder in Kelly Racing expanding its diversified portfolio into Supercars.
Operating within the manufacturing, hire, private investment, property development and hospitality industries, the Group’s motorsport arm is a key component of the family-run business.
Stephen and Brenton Grove will play an active role in the team and will attend all race events alongside Team Principal and Co-Owner Todd Kelly.
Kelly Grove Racing will run two Ford Mustangs in the touring car series, including a presence at the high profile Bathurst 1000 with naming rights sponsors and driver announcements impending over the next few days.
Expanding Grove Motorsport to invest in the top tier of Australian motorsport presents many exciting opportunities, according to Grove Group Executive Chairman, Stephen Grove.
“I’m excited to announce our strategic partnership with Todd, Rick and Kelly Racing for 2021,” said Grove.
“We decided to enter the Supercar Championship based on the series’ strong strategic roadmap forward with the Gen 3 ruleset and the new TV rights agreement.
“It was clear that the opportunity to partner with Kelly Racing was the right fit for our business given the synergies in philosophy between Kelly Racing and the Grove Group.
“I believe that through our partnership the team can grow and develop to promote and reward our sponsors for their commitment in not only our team but our vision moving forward.”
Further announcements regarding Grove Motorsport’s 2021 program will be made in the coming weeks.
